Jesse Keyes

jesse keyes

is New York City-based design entrepreneur. He conceived, developed and owns One 7th Avenue South, created and operated the NYC classic restaurant Hotel Griffou, is a founding partner of La Esquina, and co-founded and directs the KZ_K Studio, with designer, Karolina Zmarlak.

early life

Born in Silicon Valley, at Stanford Hospital, Keyes was accepted into the prestigious Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University, earning a B.A. with High Honors in 1995. He applied for and won a Fulbright Fellowship to study architecture in Barcelona; there he secured a Master's degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1997. He earned a Master’s of Science (M.S.) from the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in 1999. And, after completing doctoral coursework and exams, while teaching at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, he was awarded a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), in 2014.

Keyes developed MODO, now part of the KZ_K STUDIO, to use spatially originated endeavors to use modern techniques in fashion, design and building.
